On The Ground
This summer was busy busy! We’re hearing rumblings of sales / commercial roles picking up, lots of conversations about technology and product leadership upgrades, and finance is getting looks again.
The Health Talent Exchange mirrors this trend, with 27% of all jobs posted being in Engineering, 13% in Sales and Business Development, 13% in Operations, and 9% in Customer Service.
So if you’ve come back from the summer determined to find a new role, there are plenty of companies hiring (some albeit quietly, so network, network, network!). Here are a few things to keep in mind about your story:
- Organizations are looking for individuals who can cover multiple functions (think a technology leader with product experience or vice versa) while also spiking in cross-functional collaboration
- Deep expertise in a specific segment of the ecosystem is in high demand (execs that skew more generalist are having a harder time)
- There’s strong emphasis on data driven decision-making capabilities - think: “How do I use data to drive my actions?”
