Build. Invest. Give Back.

These have been the tenets for Aequitas Partners since the company was founded close to 10 years ago. We build and focus on the "work" day in, and day out, but sometimes it's important to step back to recognize that the world around you isn't just you, your company, your family and your close circles. It's the broader community that we're a part of each day. This is why Aequitas is hosting at least two volunteer days a year to help our local communities.

Yesterday, our team came together to support a very important local organization, Cradles to Crayons Philadelphia, which provides children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive – at home, at school and at play.

The majority of our team is based in Philadelphia, and this place we call home is also the nation’s poorest big city, with more than 300,000 children living in poverty across the region. Knowing how much social determinants impact the health and wellbeing of an individual, we wanted to live up to our own name to give back.

We wrote encouragement notes, some of which will go into 72,500 backpacks at the start of a school year, we sorted clothes and socks to be donated through dozens of community workers throughout the area, and we packed diaper orders to go out to various churches and community centers.

And while we had a fun time helping out the team at Cradle to Crayons, it's important to remember that at the end of the day, it's about giving back to the kids. If you are interested in donating time, money, or items yourself, click here for more information.
